About this event

Doors at 7:00pm; Performance begins 7:45pm

This interactive performance piece explores the process of pruning, shaping, and caring for this earth body. I invite you to join me in a shared act of rebirth, shedding, and transformation.

Together, we will tend the body as a garden. I ask you to become caretakers—through the intimate act of gently cutting and caring for my hair. As in nature, we will snip away what is no longer needed, make space for new growth, and compost with intention.

Like clay, the body is a malleable, ever-changing form of the earth. In this offering, I surrender to your presence and participation in shaping this vessel.

Inspired by Janine Antoni’s Loving Care and Yoko Ono’s Cut Piece, this work is an inquiry into the body as a site of study, care, and collaboration. The experience will be sonically guided by Allegra Gilfenbaum's offering of voice improvisation and sound bath facilitation.

This piece creates ceremony around the seemingly mundane. With each gesture of tending, we are invited to ask:
What ending is being honored here? What beginning can emerge now?

Participation is voluntary. You are welcome to witness, reflect, or engage.
