Non Films Presents Bob Dylan as Filmmaker
Video Essay Screening + Book Release & Signing
Join filmmaker and author Michael Glover Smith and filmmaker Ben Creech for a special evening exploring Bob Dylan’s overlooked work in cinema.
The night begins with the NYC premiere of No Time to Think: Bob Dylan as Filmmaker, an experimental video essay by Creech, inspired by Smith’s new book of the same title.
Though Dylan is widely celebrated as a songwriter, his work on screen—both behind and in front of the camera—remains underexplored. This event revisits films like Eat the Document, Renaldo and Clara, and Masked and Anonymous, making the case for Dylan as a filmmaker in his own right.
Following the brief screening, Smith will read from the book and join Creech for a conversation and audience Q&A. Signed copies will be available, along with time to meet, hang, and connect.
For Dylan fans, film lovers, and the cinematically curious.
