Gallery 198 is pleased to present Sleeper in Metropolis, a group exhibition featuring the work of Shivani Patel, Sarah Angèle Wilson, Baijun Chen, Trinity Bavaria, Andrew Basinski, Anita Trombetta, Brittany Adeline King, Thibault Gaudry, Annabelle Parrish, Meïssane Santos de Oliveira, Daniela Mamon, Olivia Nevins Carbins, Cal Fish, Jeanne Roche, Pao Silva Lizárraga, and DJDJQUALLS. The show, a collection of works by emerging artists based in New York City and France is organized by guest curator Alexandra Corbett. The artists in the exhibition examine relationships between real places and digital territories, combing through detritus to build moments of ceremony, ritual and magic using the vernacular of the modern age.
